IdentiGEN applies its proprietary technologies to deliver a DNA-based meat traceability solution at the price-point demanded by our customers.

To do this we have acquired rights to broad platform technologies as well as those that are more product-focused. We have established what we believe to be a strong intellectual property position for DNA TraceBack®. To do this, we have focused on patents and patent applications relating to:

• Traceability systems based on the genotyping of meat
• Novel sampling devices
• Methods for analyzing certain meat products, such as ground beef
• Trademarks protecting our brands
• Genetic variation to optimize breeding and production programs

The overarching theme of our ID-GENerator technology platform is ‘increased throughput at reduced cost.’

IdentiGEN’s DNA TraceBack system incorporates a range of specialized skills, industrial knowledge and technologies.

These are the result of primary academic research, commercial experience and collaborative partnerships that have provided the company with the unique capability to implement a comprehensive meat traceability system that is accurate, practical, easy to implement and affordable by our customers.

We use an ultra-high-throughput DNA genotyping platform that we believe is second to none in its ability to generate highly robust genotyping results accurately, rapidly and cost effectively. We proved the utility of this platform in full-scale commercial use, and we have embedded it in a comprehensive set of processes that we have refined and optimized over the five-plus years we have been providing meat traceability services to our customers. This process is ongoing, as our researchers continue to identify and implement the incremental improvements that are enabling us to seamlessly expand the scope of our business.
